Honour The Land

Please note, there will be no more ticket transfers as of July 18, 2019.

The pilgrimage is a two-day mindful motorcycle ride on Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada.

It has been consciously curated to travel one of the most exciting roads in B.C that leaves Victoria and ends in the Cowichan Valley. While traversing the stunning forests, mountains, and oceanside route, the rider will pause at four intentionally chosen locations of natural beauty called refugios. The idea for this motorcycle ride has been influenced by the notable pilgrimage, Camino de Santiago in Spain.

The pilgrimage is also like most riding events: we will ride, make new friends, play, swim, camp and celebrate into the starry night. It is our wish that the riders will be nurtured by this land, honoured by their fellow riders and feel a little more freedom in their soul for having taken this quest into nature.

All proceeds benefit Women In Need Community Cooperative and we have partnered with some generous local businesses who care about where we live, work and ride.

If you are a female-identified person, a trans woman or consider yourself gender-fluid/non-binary - you are welcome!

The pilgrimage does not have any religious or spiritual affiliations.

We meet in the morning at Island Motorcycle Co. just outside of Victoria, BC. on July 27, 2019. (see Schedule of Events for more details on timing).

The morning of the ride is where you pick up a map that leads you to the sanctuary, where we will camp for the night. Get your map stamped along the route at each refugio in exchange for a 2019 Pilgrimage Ride embroidered patch at the end of the day.

A light continental breakfast (yogurt, fruit, bars & coffee) will be available.

Upon arrival at the sanctuary, the riders will be served a catered bbq meal (for all dietary needs) and cold adult beverages will be available. Riders are invited to swim in the river (pending conditions), sit by the fire, pitch their tent and enjoy night time entertainment. The sanctuary is a private campground surrounded by ancient trees with a crystal clear river running through it. Please bring your own tent/hammock/etc to camp in!
